For a decent number of years, pedagogy scientists have been craving to put effort on acquiring learning through the process of utmost enjoyment so that learners wouldn’t feel any load of topics to be learnt. Educationists emphasize on the maxim of “Inductive to deductive”, a process, in which maintaining a proper enjoyment unknown issues will be grasped from the known by the learners. In responding with this global demand, CLP, USA and Dnet has initiated a program named: Education through Entertainment (EE model).
The model is being designed to get implemented as an informal/co-curricular activity in a Smart Classroom (SCR) of a secondary school. Major part of this model will be students’ entertainment through audio-visual films/contents/documentaries. This model creates a joyful learning environment for the students to acquire multi-disciplinary knowledge and communication skills while being entertained. Experiment phase of this program has been completed within the period from January’16 to April’16. In this phase, 5 secondary schools with SCR were selected for pilot study of the program.
A total number of14 lesson plans in addition to supporting 32 videos have been developed by Dnet education team. Suapur Nannar High School, one of the NABIC sponsored schools, was included in one of the 5 piloting schools. ATM Kamruzzaman, Deputy Director has conducted the whole-day session with 48 students of Grade VIII at the school on 18th of April, 2016. 03 assistant teachers along with the headmaster, Ashraful Islam were present at the sessionOpportunely, a representative of the Education Ministry, K M Zakir Hossain Bhuiyan, Joint Secretary, spared the demo-day with Dnet team, and participated in a demonstration of the EE program at the Suapur Nannar High School.
